On the history of corrugated board

Corrugated paper is the material that will be used in carton packaging. It is pressed into corrugated shape in the production process. After being made into corrugated paper, it will provide elasticity, flat compression strength, and affect the vertical compression strength and other properties. In the past, corrugated box mainly has the function of protecting goods, facilitating transportation and storage. Recently, in order to increase consumers' desire to buy, most of them use corrugated boxes with binding and printing.

Corrugated box is suitable for vehicle pallet transportation and container transportation, which makes corrugated box develop rapidly and popularize. In order to reduce the cost of corrugated box, the quality of base paper should be reduced as much as possible. Each type can be divided into several types according to different uses and combination types. According to JIS standard, there are three basic types, as shown in Figure 3-13. With the circulation of goods, the change of social development and the requirement of saving energy, the packaging forms of other corrugated cardboard boxes are constantly developed, and the corresponding packaging machinery and system are also improved.

The main purpose of using corrugated box is to protect goods and facilitate transportation. Therefore, waterproof corrugated board and reinforced corrugated board appear one after another.
